I Am an Intrastate Carrier But Wish to Start Driving in Other States, What Do I Need?

 Carriers that wish to start driving in other states will need to complete a certification form and provide adequate medical documents to their state’s DMV to update their CDL. They will also need to apply for an interstate operating authority with the FMCSA, register with the UCR and pay fees based on their fleet size, register with the IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement), and register with the IRP (International Registration Plan).
