To determine your gross vehicle weight (GVW), add the vehicle’s curb weight (the weight of the vehicle empty) to the weight of the payload. The payload often includes the driver and passengers in addition to the actual cargo.
In other words, your GVW is simply the total weight of the vehicle, passengers, attachments, and cargo. You can get this weight at any heavy-duty scale or weigh station.
