My Carrier Was Only Active for One Month This Year. Do I Still Need to Pay the UCR for This Year and Next Year?

Even if your carrier was only active for one month, you should still pay the UCR for that year, as well as for the upcoming year. Unfortunately, the UCR does not waive fees and expects all interstate motor carriers to register and pay, regardless of how long they were active in a given year. Failing to do so could be viewed as non-compliance and may result in greater penalties or more thorough audits for your company.
