Broker and motor carrier companies operating under a single legal entity will only need to register for UCR once, and they will do so through the UCR website as normal.
However, performing multiple functions under a single USDOT requires that you register as the function that would incur the most UCR fees. Given that brokers often fall into the lowest fee bracket, you would register as the carrier company and record your fleet size so that you pay the most appropriate fees.
