Do Private Carriers Need UCR?

Private carriers will be required to register with the UCR program, along with for-hire carriers. This applies to private carriers engaged in interstate, international commerce or if they transport goods/passengers that have crossed state lines prior to pick-up or after delivery. A common example is transporting passengers to and from an airport, or transporting goods to a distribution center that will be transporting them nationwide.
